I visited my friend the other day. You know, the one that got me to start reading in the first place. We were just chatting in her house for a while. Somehow she started talking to me about her dad loving coincidences and how he thinks they are a reason to believe in a higher power.
All I could think is ‘Thats crazy because I literally just wrote one of my first blog posts about my coincidences and titled it Coincidences.’ I ended up reading her everything I wrote in that blog post. To sum it up, I read a book about God that had four different coincidences in my own life.
A few days later, I am hanging out with my mom and son. We went to Michaels, the craft store. One of the first things I pick up is a book about the moon. It seemed to interest me so I grabbed it and held onto it as a chased my son through the store.
I looked at the price of that book, $29.99.
The book looked cool but I couldn’t justify spending $30 on it. So I put it down.
I continued to chase my son around and couldn’t find anything else that piqued my interest or inspired me in any way.
But I really wanted to find another book to read!
Guess what is right next door to Michaels? BAM! Books a Million.
As we are walking out of Michaels, I ask my mom if we can go into BAM really quick because I really want to continue to read. Of course, she says yes. She was actually wanting to get a specific book because she lent it to my sister before she finished reading it so we walk over to the bookstore.
My son loves to move so its hard to look at a book more than a couple of seconds before I have to look at where he is going next. Being dyslexic, this makes it very difficult to find a book I might like because I cant read the full summary.
Eventually I tell my mom, ‘I cant find anything because I cant look at a book for more than a couple of seconds.’
My mom, “I can watch the boy while you look around.”
Perfect. That should help… It didnt. I still couldnt find anything so I head over to tell my mom that we can head out. All of a sudden I pass this green book that says Coincidence.
I pick it up and the title reads ‘The Power of Coincidence: Harness the Magic of Synchronicity to lead a charmed life.’
MOM!
I showed her the book and told her how crazy it is because my friend was just talking about her dad loving coincidences.
My mom, “Isn’t that a coincidence. You should get the book and look its only three dollars, I will buy it for you if you want.”
It definitely is a coincidence, and three dollars is a lot better than $30 for that moon book AND my mom will pay the three dollars so technically its free! The book is mine. The universe is literally handing it to me.
I start reading the book but didnt get very far into it before I saw my mom again to bring her to the airport on February 12th, 2023.
It was 3:45am when my mom picked me up so I could drive her car home and she saves $180 for airport parking.
My mom and I are talking and I tell her about what I have read so far in the book. Then my mom starts talking about applying for jobs and says “I just need someone like your friend to help me write a nice cover letter and match my resume to whatever job I am applying for”
My friend is good at that type of stuff and had already helped my mom fix up her resume.
On the radio, Fleetwood Mac started playing.
My mom, “I love this song”
You want to hear something about this song? My friends mom told her before she passed away that if she ever hears a song by Fleetwood Mac, that is her reaching out to my friend from the other side.
My mom, “Hey, isnt that another coincidence that we were just talking about your friend and then this song comes on.”
They just keep coming.
February 16th, I continue to read the book and it starts explaining synchronicities, as the title suggests it will talk about, but I still don’t get too far. I stop at page 35.
February 17th, I am at work, listening to a podcast about mushrooms that I have been listening to in order from the very beginning for a couple weeks now. Each episode is about an hour long and I am on episode 20.
Guess what the host starts talking about.
You probably guessed it.
Synchronicities.
Now thats crazy! I’ve listened to over 20 hours of this podcast and the day after I read about synchronicities in the book about coincidences do you start talking about synchronicities as well?!
BUT GUESS WHAT!
Episode 21 AND episode 22 talk about synchronicities! Three episodes in a row!!!!
What are the odds that lines up so perfectly??
I cant wait for what might happen next.
