I have to start this story by saying that I do not read much. I am dyslexic so reading doesn’t come easy. However, recently my friend told me to read a book named Verity. This was the first book I even thought about reading in the last few years. Yes, that’s how little I read.
I bought the book Verity and told myself ‘I have to finish this book’, especially now that I spent money on it. The book was interesting. It made me question what I thought might happen next. At one point I almost put the book down in anger but quickly changed my mind because I HAD to know what happened next.
Maybe all the books I attempted reading in the past just weren’t the right genre. This book made me want to read more. So I went to Target with a $25 visa gift card I got from my grandma for Christmas.
I was in the book isle searching through books reading the summaries and not finding anything that piqued my interest. I found one named The Atlas Six with a black and gold front page that looks mystical so I grabbed it but that was only $16 so I had to find another book.
My husband pointed out a self-help book and I thought ‘hmmm I guess that’s not a bad idea’. The book right next to the one he pointed to was called Get Out of Your Head and I grabbed it. Without reading the summary, we went through the self-checkout and the books were purchased. I had to read them.
I opened the book Get Out of Your Head before we even got back home. Immediately it is about God which I never expected to read about. At first, I thought ‘Maybe God is just in the beginning and it will move on to something else’. It didnt.
The first coincidence was within the first few pages. The author started talking about her daughter named Kate (Hi, I am also Kate). Later, she started talking about her other daughter, Charlotte, who was struggling with dyslexia…
Next, she told a story about a time she took a potty throwing class with her friend. You will just have to take my word that I love pottery and at some point, was contemplating how I could start my own pottery business.
Lastly, she talked about her interviewing an astronaut. I will explain this coincidence in more detail. Recently, I have been very interested in space and how infinite it is. For Christmas I bought my son a new space bed set, a moon nightlight, and an astronaut toothbrush.
The weirdest part was a night before I read this part of the book, I was scrolling through TikTok and there was an AI filter that I decided to use and it turned me into an astronaut, twice.
At that point, I was convinced I was meant to read that book. Im not sure the reason why yet but maybe it is making me more spiritually aware.
After reading that book, I found a free kindle book about consciousness named Your Destiny is Inside You: Be Your Own Guiding Light by Ana Pat. This book had one more coincidence.
A few days after I wrote my ‘Restart’ blog saying that I was ‘too focused on money’, the book told me you can’t focus on money… I think I am starting to go down the right path, so I am going to continue to learn about coincidences, consciousness, Mushrooms, and spirituality.
